Marty is a broadcast executive and marketing professional with over 35 years of experience in television, radio, print and online marketing.
Marty owned/operated WTRI Radio, 1520am serving Frederick County, Maryland and Loudoun County, Virginia since January of 2005. He also was Managing Partner/Principal of Hometown Media & Marketing, LLC, a marking/public relations/media buying firm serving the greater Washington/Baltimore areas.
Most recently, Marty was the Market Manager for Cumulus Media Inc., overseeing the Sales & Operation of three heritage radio stations in Westchester, New York.
Marty’s career has included management positions with some of the most well-known media companies, including Director of AM Stations, Clear Channel Radio, Washington, DC; Vice President Sales & Marketing, ESPN Radio, New York-Bristol, Connecticut, Local Sales & Marketing Manager, WDCA TV, Viacom, Washington, DC, and Station Manager for 1050AM Air America Washington, an Air America Media owned & operated station in Washington, D.C.
Marty has been very active in the community, including work with Gannon Canned Food Drive, Walk for the Homeless, The Giving Tree, Cystic Fibrosis, Katie’s Carwash and Children’s Cancer and The Women’s Shelter & Kitchen in Maryland, Board of Directors for Water is Hope, Project Healing Waters, and Ed Randall’s Fans for the Cure. His many memberships include The National Youth Sports Coaching Alliance, Fredrick Chamber of Commerce, Bethesda Chevy Chase Chamber, Better Business Bureau, US Chamber of Commerce and The Alliance of Small Businesses and the Westchester/DC Chamber of Commerce.
Marty a graduate of Boston College, with numerous Executive Level Management, Business and Sales training degrees, lives in Mamaroneck, New York. He is the proud father of three: Cayley Elizabeth Sheehan, 28, a Graduate of Providence College; Robert Brown Sheehan, 23, a Graduate Providence College and Arden Marie Sheehan, 17, future graduate of Providence College.
|Noah Roth, General Sales Manager & On-Air Host
Noah is a partner in The VGR Radio Agency, the operating arm of 1400 WSTC Fairfield County’s Favorite Radio.Most recently, was the host and producer of the popular radio show, “The Hear & Now Radio Show,” weekdays 2pm-4pm on WGCH, in Greenwich CT.
In addition to his program duties, Noah was adapt at building relationships with local high schools, politicians and retailers that enhanced the content of the program as well as sales.
A graduate of Ithaca College, Noah was on air, show host, reporter and marketer covering a variety of topics from Cornell University Hockey to Ithaca College Bombers Football on WICB. Noah’s skills were enhanced with a paid internship at 710 ESPN Los Angeles.
Upon graduation, he worked at Cumulus Media’s Westchester, NY cluster, as a Sales Executive.A radio junkie, Noah can board op, produce, program, remote, report, market and sell radio.

|Mike Raub, Director of Operations
The day that Mike Raub’s fourth grade class visited the local radio station to read Christmas poems on the air was the day that Mike fell in love with radio. And that love affair has never waivered. Mike got involved full time in broadcasting while in high school, then after enrolling in Ohio State University in Columbus, he was fortunate enough to join the staff of WNCI-FM, the city’s big Top 40 radio station. A few more stops around the U.S, brought him to Connecticut where he managed to get on the air at several great stations (WTIC-FM, KISS-FM, KC-101) plus had the opportunity to take on the task of Operations Manager at Clear Channel Radio in New Haven and later at Cox Media Group here in Fairfield County. Still, that fourth grade class trip to his (very) local home town radio station is what drives Mike to help make 1400 WSTC the strong community signal that Fairfield County needs.
|Danielle Costa, Traffic & Office Manager/DJ
Danielle Costa is a 25 year old from Westchester County. She graduated from Iona college in 2013 with a BA in Journalism. She interned for the nationally syndicated ‘Elvis Duran and The Morning Show’ while in college for a year. Throughout college, she was on air host and producer of her lunch time college radio show and became head of WICR, Iona College radio, her senior year. She has written for Iona College’s newspaper, The Ionian, doing movie and television reviews and celebrity interviews. Most recently, Danielle was producer for the popular afternoon drive time talk show in Westchester and Fairfield counties, The Lisa Wexler Show on AM 1490 WGCH.
|Chris Lane, Operations Manager
Chris Lane, Operations Manager, is a radio techie jack of all trades. Chris is a product of his youth listening to the radio on the way to school or work. This early introduction into radio, lead him to learn and practice his craft at Long Island University – Brooklyn. While there, Chris displayed an interest in radio and began to hone his skills by working at the LIU, radio station, 89.1 WLIU-BK.
WLIU – BK gave Chris the opportunity to be on air, produce, engineer and work on remote broadcasts. Upon his return to Westchester, Chris secured positions WFAS FM and AM, and The Peak. Chris presently, has been working with VGR Radio Agency as a board op/producer of “The Hear & Now Radio Show.” His duties at 1400 WSTC include, board op, production, remote broadcasting and helping out whenever asked. Chris, a resident of White Plains, New York, is the proud son of Rafaela and spends his spare time playing and watching soccer, specifically, Liverpool FC, seeing and playing in live bands, driving his MB 300 and making home made mac n’ cheese.
|Tom O’Hanlon, Station Voice
Tom O’Hanlon began his broadcast journalism career as a news anchor and on air personality at WFUV and as News Director of WFAS AM & FM in White Plains, New York. After joining the NBC Radio Network, where he was a producer, assignment editor and writer, he moved over to the television division of NBC News where he worked as a producer/writer for NewsChannel 4, The Today Show and the former NBC News at Sunrise. During his time at WNBC, he produced NewsChannel 4 at 6pm, NewsChannel 4 Midday and Today in New York and served as a field producer for the various broadcasts. He is an Emmy nominated television producer.
Tom has anchored news on a number of well-known New York City radio stations, including the former WNEW-AM and is a member of the team at Total Traffic and Weather Network and 24/7 News, which are programming divisions of I Heart Media. He is still regularly heard as a news anchor and traffic reporter. He can be found on the AM and FM dial on a number of well-known network news feeds and radio stations in New York City and the tri-state area. Tom and his family live in Westchester County.
|Mike McGinnis, Play by Play for Sports
Mike McGinnia was raised in Westchester County New York. He currently is the voice for Sacred Heart University Womens and Men’s Basketball on AM 1400 WSTC. Also, he is the voice of Pace University Athletics on the Pace University Athletics on the Pace University Spots Network. Mike graduated from CUNY Herbert H. Lehman College Summa Cum Laude with a degree in History. Mike is currently also pursuing a career in Social Studies education Grades 6-12. Mike has three generations of Major League and Minor League Baseball in his family. In his spare time Mike along with his girlfriend Jaylene, likes to try to promote awareness for animal rescue for abandoned pets.
|Carlton Best, Color and Show Runner for Sports
Originally from Wallingford, Connecticut, Carlton has always been a sports nut. Trips to Fenway Park starting at the age of six helped ingrain sports culture and passion into his personality and way of life. This continued on to high school as Carlton played on the basketball team and was the captain of the tennis team his senior year.
While completing his bachelor’s degree in marketing management at Syracuse University, Carlton interned with the then AAA affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, who were at that time known as the Sky Chiefs. The experience with the Sky Chiefs allowed Carlton to see the business side of sports as well as develop an understanding of the fan experience from the team’s point of view
Most recently, Carlton completed a Master’s degree in Sports Communication and Media at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. The student operated sports programs at Sacred Heart University helped Carlton develop a love for working in sports media. Whether working as on air talent or as a behind the scenes producer, the excitement of contributing to a live sporting event made him realize this is where he will take his career.
In order to support his passion in sports media Carlton works as Finance Coordinator in New York City as well as NASCAR logger at NBC Sports in Stamford, CT.
|Diana Cannizzaro, Sports Reporter
Diana is a New Jersey native, who currently lives in Stamford, Connecticut. Previously, she worked in television media sales upon completing her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Finance in 2009.
In August 2016, Diana received her Master’s degree in Sports Communication & Media, with a focus in broadcasting from Sacred Heart University. While attending graduate school, she worked as a production assistant at WWE Network. While working at WWE, Diana also was very involved with the SHU Sports Network. She was an anchor for the SHU Sports Report, a college produced show,reporting on all Sacred Heart athletics. In addition, she wrote and reported for the school newspaper, which helped advance her writing and interviewing skills.
Upon graduation, she was hired by Sacred Heart University as their sideline reporter for the 2016 football season. In addition to sideline reporting, Diana joined The Vantage Sports Network, a division of Frontier Communications as a field reporter, covering high school sports.
Currently, Diana is a game day host and reporter for 1400 WSTC, covering Sacred Heart University Basketball. She is also involved with our Bruce Hall’s Second Opinion Radio show, where you can listen to her interviews with the Sacred Heart head coach of the men’s basketball team.
Diana brings charisma, professionalism, energy, and creativeness to the WSTC team.
|Jill Camerota, Board Op, Remote Team, Talent
Jill is a graduate of the Connecticut School of Broadcasting. She multi tasks with producing, board-oping, and editing. Jill has worked for various AM Talk Radio stations in the area. Always a team player, she’ll voice spots and be on air when needed. As you can see by her photo, she is really fun to be around. Believe it or not,she also works at a commodities trading company. Her favorite place in the world is New York City. If you see somebody walking around Central Park with a big faux feathery boa, that’s Jill!!!
|Edith Copp, Intern
Edith The Intern, is currently enrolled in Greenwich High School, and has plans to graduate in the Spring of 2017. While excelling at scholastics, squash and lunch, Edith has established herself as a young up & coming marketing star.She has shown initiative with her tasks, and now is the group’s lead on artwork & design, as she is the go to for logo creation, schematics and designing media kits and one sheets. In addition, she along with Roy Edwards’ team, handles all VGR’s social media including twitter, facebook and instagram sites. In her downtime, Edith is President of Greenwich High Schools Cardinal Street Fashion, and brings her ‘spicy’ repertoire to the airwaves with her weekly guest appearance on The Hear & Now Radio Show with Noah Roth. Edith has been trained to board op., DJ and host a radio program, and has been known to wander the Northeast solo in search of music & concerts.
|Roy Edwards, Technical Support and Web Developer
Roy Edwards is the owner and President of Capitol Presence Consulting Group, the technical support and developers for VGRRadio.
Roy began studying and teaching web and graphic development in the early 2000’s – teaching to high school students at the Fairfax Academy in Fairfax, VA while still in High School himself.Roy went on to study communications at West Virginia University where he expanded his web development and entered into the field of radio.
He was the house DJ for De Lazy Lizard which earned a spot on Playboy Magazine’s top college bar in America tour. He opened up for such acts as Mix Master Mike and DJ Scribble, while touring parts of the East Coast.
After college he entered into the talk radio industry, hosting multiple shows including the co-host of Bruce Hall’s Second Opinion. He was featured in the “Baltimore’s Next Superstar” radio competition and formed the popular college sports blog Sportsmancave (now ShootTheJay.com).
Roy is now a producer for SiriusXM’s College Sports Nation as well as the President of Capitol Presence Consulting Group, a company dedicated to servicing the needs of the Federal Government as well as helping small business thrive. He currently resides in Northern Virginia and has two son’s Chase and Avery with his wife Halie.
|Julian Pennington, Senior Account Manager
Julian is a Westchester native, grew up in Tarrytown, NY and went to high school in Irvington, NY. After graduating college from the University of Rhode Island in 2009 Julian remained with his long-time college girlfriend, Lauren, and eventually married her in 2015. After a couple restaurant jobs out of college Julian put on a suit a walked into the Cumulus Westchester office in Hartsdale, NY and was offered to come back and interview for a sales role. Julian worked at the Cumulus Media Westchester, NY cluster selling advertising and managing brokered shows over the next 4 years. Working under GM, Marty Sheehan, Julian learned how to prospect, network, build a book of business, and have some fun selling radio advertising. As corporate had other plans to move the Westchester heritage station 103.9 WFAS-FM, Julian tried his hand in sports licensed merchandise and apparel sales to retailers and online distributors with a company based in Southern New Jersey. Later on, Marty advised Julian to get back to into radio sales with him at another Westchester radio group.
|Mario Sciaretta, Sales Representative
Mario Sciarretta was born and raised in Stamford, Connecticut. He has an Associates Degree in Business Administration at Norwalk Community College and is currently in pursuit of a BA in Economics at the University of Connecticut. He has worked in the restaurant business for six years taking on customer service position and managing daily transactions. While Mario is new to sales, he is excited to hit the ground running and bring a local presence to the team.
|Bob Gilmore, Station Engineer & Host of RETRO RADIO
My early years as a teen hanging out in Radio Stations and TV transmitter buildings have helped shape my hunger for the business. I started doing announcing part-time in as a teenager and and continued some limited radio announcing until 2012 for a couple radio stations in Connecticut. As a part-time announcer I spent 14 years doing Sunday mornings for WEBE 108. I spent a few years doing weekends on CJMQ FM in Sherbrooke, Québec Canada. Currently, I can be heard doing my Retro-Playlist show on Hit Oldies, an internet station and also an AC version of the show on 1400 WSTC, Saturday evenings 7PM to 11PM.
I was hired at ABC Radio as Project Engineer in 1999. Assignments were to build new control rooms and support affiliates with the Starguide III rollout. During my tenure I found myself upgrading systems, supporting all the studios and control rooms. I was promoted twice in my 9 years there becoming Systems Engineering Manager in 2008 before going to ESPN in Bristol.
ESPN is where I hung my hat from May 2008 to 2016,expanding the new Control Rooms, Studios in 2011, and the launch of ESPN’s own uplink to affiliate XDS Satellite Receivers.
I’m a licensed Extra Class Amateur Radio Operator, call sign WD1M, and served as President of the Fairfield Amateur Radio Association in 1991. I did two DXpeditions to Iceland. 1989 and 1991. I am on HF primarily on 80 to 10 Meters but sometimes go on 160 meters for contests. I’m active on CW, PSK31 and SSB. I countinue to work on my DXCC and working on my next level of 300 counties. I enjoy swapping QSL cards. I do have LOTW, Club Log, and QRZ.

Daniel is 22 years old and turning 23 in November. Dan was born and raised in Norwalk, CT. He attended St. Bonaventure University and graduated in 2015 with a BA in English. Daniel loves music and attending music festivals all over the entire northeast, especially in New York City.
